Process certification

Whereas conformity assessment only relates to certain specified characteristics of a product or object, process certification assesses processes and performance within organisations. A process certificate can cover different types of processes, for example business processes, but also the provision of a service or a production process. Kiwa can help you with this.

Through the certificate, a company or organization can demonstrate the ability to obtain and maintain conformity of the processes managed.

The aim of certifying processes is to provide assurance to all interested parties that a process or service fulfils and complies with specified requirements as laid down in standards or other normative documents.

A process certification scheme may include initial testing or inspection activities. Furthermore, assessment of a process’ contributors and suppliers quality management systems can be part of it, as goes for surveillance activities.
