Job Summary

BASEC, part of the Kiwa UK group, is seeking an Assistant Account Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you'll provide proactive support to the Regional Commercial Manager, helping to develop client relationships, deliver outstanding customer service, and drive business growth across new and existing accounts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build a career in account management within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector. This is a hybrid role, based in Milton Keynes.

About the role

  • Support the Regional Commercial Manager in executing sales strategies and client engagement plans.
  • Assist in identifying and nurturing business growth opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Help develop strong client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and retention levels.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations under supervision, gradually taking responsibility for ensuring quality and consistency. 
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and records using Salesforce.
  • Collaborate across regional and global teams within BASEC and the wider Kiwa group to support tenders, new business development, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders including Operations, Technical, Finance, and Compliance teams.
  • Stay informed on market trends and developments within the TIC and cable sectors.
  • Attend client meetings and industry events, which may include occasional travel within the UK and internationally.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Experience in a sales support, customer service, account management, or technical sales.
  • Foundational understanding of consultative selling, with a willingness to develop in areas such as quotation preparation, client engagement, and pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is desirable.
  • Proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Knowledge of the TIC and Cable sectors is an advantage.

  • £28,000 per annum
