Job Summary
Kiwa Fire Safety Compliance are inviting applications for the role of Business Development Manager to drive profitable new business growth by identifying, shaping, and converting opportunities. We are looking for someone that can successfully translate customer needs into commercially viable solutions. This is a role where your effort sets the pace, your results shape your reward, and you always know where you stand. This is a hybrid role, based in Aylesbury with frequent UK travel.About the role
- Develop and execute a targeted territory plan, identifying and prioritising key accounts
- Generate new business through proactive, multi-channel outreach and relationship building
- Lead discovery conversations to understand customer needs, risks and decision processes
- Qualify opportunities and maintain a strong, focused pipeline aligned to targets
- Translate customer requirements into tailored solutions, working closely with technical teams
- Deliver compelling proposals with clear value messaging and commercial alignment
- Lead negotiations, manage stakeholders and close deals in line with revenue and margin goals
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and a structured post-sale handover
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide reliable forecasting
- Share market insight and performance feedback to support continuous improvement and inform wider teams
Do you have what it takes?
- Strong working knowledge of consultancy within the Fire Safety sector
- Experience applying pricing strategies and managing margins to deliver commercially viable deals
- Understanding of contracts including risk, liability and scope clarity
- Awareness of regulatory frameworks and compliance drivers within target industries
- Ability to connect services to regulatory and customer outcomes
- Strong knowledge of testing, inspection, certification and consultancy services
- Able to combine multiple services into tailored, value-led solutions
- Proactive and driven, with a consistent focus on building and maintaining a strong pipeline
- Commercially minded, balancing revenue growth with margin protection
- Structured and organised, with a process-driven approach to sales
- Resilient and self-motivated, able to maintain momentum in the face of challenges
- Curious and customer-focused, with the ability to deeply understand client needs

- £49,978 per annum
- Transparent commission on top of your base salary, so your effort sets your earnings. This will be outlined at second stage interview.
- £5,880 Car Allowance
- Generous Annual Leave: Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, remote role with travel across the UK
