Reporting to the ICC General Manager, you will act as Kiwa’s technical authority for the FSSC 22000 certification scheme, representing Kiwa with accreditation bodies and scheme owners, and ensuring robust, compliant, and high quality certification delivery across our global network. You will play a critical role in safeguarding accreditation, supporting auditors and local offices, and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, including UKAS and the FSSC Scheme Owner.

About the role

As FSSC / ISO 22000 Scheme Manager, you will:

  • Represent Kiwa with accreditation bodies (including UKAS) and the FSSC Scheme Owner, acting as the technical focal point for the scheme
  • Ensure effective technical execution and ongoing compliance with ISO 17021, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 requirements
  • Coordinate audits with Kiwa local offices and sales agents, validating audit requirements and ensuring alignment with approved quotations
  • Define, maintain, and update technical guidelines, procedures, work instructions, and audit tools to meet accreditation and scheme requirements
  • Manage and oversee audit file technical reviews, scope validations, complaints, and recall activities within the FSSC database
  • Support the qualification, calibration, and ongoing competence of auditors, technical reviewers, and witness auditors
  • Deliver training and technical updates to auditors, reviewers, and administration teams, including annual training and version‑change briefings
  • Maintain and distribute up‑to‑date technical documentation through Kiwa systems (including KAMS)
  • Coordinate integrity audits and corrective actions in line with scheme owner and GFSI requirements
  • Collaborate with Kiwa Group and Food Division working groups on new programmes, initiatives, scope extensions, and new codes
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to support local offices and Kiwa Group in implementing scheme updates and changes

Do you have what it takes?

We’re looking for someone who brings strong technical credibility and collaborative leadership. Ideally, you will have:

  • A degree in a food‑related, bioscience, or science and engineering discipline
  • Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in certification, scheme management, or a similar technical role
  • Strong technical knowledge of FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and ISO 17021 requirements
  • Experience working with accreditation bodies and participation in accreditation audits
  • Excellent understanding of certification processes, auditor qualification, and audit file management
  • Advanced working knowledge of FSSC databases and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong analytical, decision‑making, and objective evaluation skills
  • Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across global teams

Qualification as an FSSC 22000 auditor is desirable but not essential.
