About the role

Kiwa is expanding its expertise across the globe through an active M&A strategy. To keep that growth sustainable, secure, and efficient, we are strengthening how we design and run our Microsoft cloud foundation.

  • Ensure alignment with Microsoft cloud best practices and architectural frameworks

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Microsoft cloud architecture, defining and maintaining the target architecture for Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, networking, and security
  • Translate business and IT strategy into architecture, ensuring solutions align with enterprise principles and security requirements
  • Support identity and access management, including Entra ID and secure access approaches
  • Guide cloud adoption and migrations, supporting initiatives to move workloads to Azure where appropriate
  • Support acquisitions and integrations, advising on architectural choices when onboarding new entities
  • Collaborate across teams, working with Global IT, local IT, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment

Do you have what it takes?

You are an architect who can go deep on Microsoft technology and translate complexity into practical guidance that teams actually use. You enjoy working in an international environment, where alignment, governance, and communication matter as much as technical choices.

You bring:

  • Microsoft cloud architecture expertise, with a strong track record in Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Identity and workplace foundation, hands-on knowledge of Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and Windows Server
  • Hybrid and platform understanding, including networking, security, and hybrid/on-prem integration
  • Governance mindset, able to translate principles and compliance needs into clear standards
  • Automation mindset, experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automated deployment approaches
  • Strong stakeholder skills, able to influence without direct authority and communicate clearly
  • Language and location, fluent English, Dutch is a plus, based in the Netherlands and eligible to work here
  • Nice to have, experience in acquisition-driven, federated, or multi-entity organizations

We care most about your ability to design a secure, scalable Microsoft foundation and make it actionable for teams. If you match most of the points above, we would like to hear from you.

What can you expect from us in return?

  • A high-impact role in an international environment, with direct exposure to senior IT stakeholders
  • Competitive salary aligned with your experience, plus a variable bonus
  • 33 vacation days, 8% holiday allowance, and a strong pension scheme
  • Mobility budget and hybrid working model, with Rijswijk as your base location
  • Continuous learning opportunities via Kiwa Academy and knowledge communities across the group
  • Clear career perspective within a growing architecture function and a broader global IT transformation agenda, including opportunities within the SHV Family of Companies
