Job Summary

Kiwa PPI is seeking an experienced Onsite Oversight Quality Manager for a contract / freelance (1099) assignment supporting a major construction project. This position will provide onsite leadership and oversight of quality personnel, activities, documentation, and compliance throughout project execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive site construction QA/QC experience, strong knowledge of NDE methods, and experience working both with and for EPC organizations.

  • Work Location: Onsite

  • Schedule: Five (5) days per week (Approx. 44 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all onsite quality oversight personnel and activities.

  • Coordinate scheduling and deployment of quality and inspection personnel.

  • Manage quality reporting and ensure accurate, timely documentation.

  • Identify, establish, and monitor required witness and hold points.

  • Provide overall oversight of project quality programs and requirements.

  • Develop, review, and approve quality documentation, procedures, inspection records, and related deliverables.

  • Monitor construction activities for compliance with applicable specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and project requirements.

  • Coordinate with EPC personnel, construction teams, inspectors, and project stakeholders to address quality issues.

  • Provide oversight of applicable NDE/NDT methods and activities.

  • Support quality audits, surveillance activities, nonconformance resolution, and corrective actions.

  • Maintain complete and accurate project quality records.

  • Perform additional project-related quality responsibilities as required.

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of site construction QA/QC experience.

  • Demonstrated experience working with and for an EPC organization.

  • Experience and working knowledge of NDE/NDT methods.

  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong knowledge of construction quality programs, inspection processes, and quality documentation.

  • Experience managing or providing oversight of onsite quality personnel.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively interface with construction management, EPC teams, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
