Regional Aerospace Assessor

Job Summary

NQA, part of the Kiwa UK Group, is looking for a Regional Aerospace Assessor to deliver accredited assessments to our clients via scheduled site visits. You’ll use your technical and administrative skills, alongside strong customer service, to ensure quality and compliance. This remote role involves frequent travel. NQA provides accredited certification, training and support services to help customers improve processes, performance and products and services. We have issued over 50,000 certificates to clients in over 90 countries resulting in a yearly revenue of around 100 million Euro.

About the role

• Deliver accredited assessments, meeting set annual targets
• Assess client documented management systems to ensure compliance with recognised accreditation standard including ISO9001:2015, AS9100 Rev D and AS9120 Rev B
• Perform client management system assessments in a timely manner, in line visit schedules
• Provide timely and appropriate feedback to clients
• Prepare and submit visit reports, including recommendations regarding the issue and withdrawal of certificates
• Ensure that assessments, surveillance activities and recertification visits comply with the requirements of NQA’s Management System
• Comply with Health and Safety Policy and manage business risks

Do you have what it takes?

Essential Criteria:

• Current or previous authentication as an IAQG Authenticated Experienced Auditor (AEA), or equivalent aerospace lead auditor qualification.
• Recent non-MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) ASD work experience at a recognised organization.
• Demonstrable capability to lead aerospace quality management system audits and apply audit principles, methods and techniques effectively.
• Proven ability to assess compliance, identify risks, evaluate process effectiveness and drive continual improvement within aerospace organisations.
• Demonstrable knowledge of aerospace industry processes, controls and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven interpersonal and report writing skills.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• A willingness and flexibility to travel both nationally and internationally.

Desirable skills/experience:

• Successfully passed CQI/IRCA recognised lead auditor course for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001
• Broad knowledge and practical experience of third-party accreditation
• Current IRCA/IEMA Registration
