Job Summary
Kiwa Construction Material Testing (CMT) are inviting applications for the role of Sales Manager to lead the Business Unit sales function, driving sustainable and profitable growth through effective execution, customer focus, and commercial discipline. The role builds and leads a high-performing team aligned to organisational strategy, ensuring consistent delivery across the sales lifecycle and contributing to ongoing commercial capability and best practice. This is a role where your effort sets the pace, your results shape your reward, and you always know where you stand. This is a hybrid role, based in Derby with frequent UK travel.About the role
- Deliver Kiwa CMT's commercial performance (revenue, margin, pipeline, forecast accuracy)
- Lead, develop, and manage the sales team, setting clear objectives and driving performance
- Drive customer retention, account growth, and key relationship management
- Ensure strong sales governance, processes, and effective CRM use
- Align Business Unit activity with wider commercial strategy
- Execute sales plans, translating strategy into clear priorities and actions
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities across customers, sectors, and services
- Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer expansion
- Maintain visibility of commercial risks and opportunities
- Own pipeline health and forecasting, ensuring accurate reporting and progression of opportunities
- Identify pipeline gaps and maintain a balanced mix of opportunities
- Support pricing, proposals, and negotiations with commercial rigour
- Embed consistent sales processes and drive continuous improvement in sales efficiency
- Maintain adherence to commercial governance and risk controls
- Oversee key customer relationships and support high-value opportunities
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform priorities
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Technical teams to align sales and delivery
- Support account planning, cross-sell, and retention strategies
- Monitor sales performance and provide insight to support decision-making
Do you have what it takes?
- Significant commercial and sales leadership with accountability for revenue, margin, pipeline, and forecast delivery
- Strong understanding of TIC services, customer sectors, and market dynamics, with specific knowledge in Build Environment Assets
- Applies structured sales processes, CRM discipline, and data-driven performance management
- Aligns commercial activity with operational delivery capability
- Significant people management experience
- Develops team performance through coaching, objective setting, and capability development
- Drives a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus

- £58,759.00 per annum
- Transparent commission on top of your base salary, so your effort sets your earnings. This will be outlined at second stage interview.
- £5,880 Car Allowance
- Generous Annual Leave: Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, remote role with travel across the UK
