Job Summary
Kiwa UK is looking for a Tax Accountant to join the Finance team. The role provides tax compliance, tax accounting and reporting support across all Kiwa UK entities. You will own and continuously improve tax policies and procedures, balancing regulatory compliance with commercial outcomes and cash-flow optimisation. This is a UK remote role.About the role
External interfaces
- Coordinate the corporate tax obligations and indirect tax obligations for the Kiwa UK Group including overseas subsidiaries
- Prepare calculations and accounts disclosures on corporate income tax, including deferred tax, capital allowances and other schedules as required by our tax advisors and auditors
- Administer the UK Group Payment Arrangement
- Support the preparation of the UK corporation tax returns with support from Big 4 advisors, with growing involvement as the process transitions to inhouse
- Support international tax compliance across CFC, Hybrid Mismatch, DPT, CIR and (public) CbCR
- Lead SAO processes, tax governance, documentation and process improvements
Internal interfaces
- Define and maintain an internal control framework linked to the key tax risks
- Complete quarterly internal tax submissions
- Support projects in tax best practice, including transfer pricing, VAT and R&D allowances
- Provide support on global mobility, transfer pricing compliance, Pillar 2, CIR and other compliance matters
- Drive best practice and provide education on employment tax matters such as IR35
- Prepare monthly reconciliation documents
Do you have what it takes?
- A recognised professional accounting or tax qualification (desirable). Part qualification considered.
- Recent experience of working in a UK Corporate in a similar role, or recently qualified professional coming from Practice
- Relevant experience of IFRS reporting requirements
- Relevant experience of tax principles
- Experience with ERP and consolidation tools (e.g., OneStream), with the ability to reconcile local data to IFRS group reporting
- The ability to deliver to tight timescales and deadlines consistently
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
What can you expect from us in return?
- £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
