Assessment of a module manufacturer’s traceability procedures and practices for their upstream material supply chain from polysilicon through finished PV modules.

Pre-shipment Inspection
Kiwa PI Berlin will conduct pre-shipment inspection of modules. Inspection will be carried out on a sample basis and used to release modules for shipment.. Defect rates that exceed the acceptance thresholds may result in additional inspection or rejection of product as part of the agreed process to control quality. Inspections typically include Flash (IV) Testing- checking for power and resistance defects, Electroluminescence (EL) imaging checking for cell defects, and a Visual inspection (VI).

Kiwa PI Berlin will create and document an RFP or RFQ solicitation for a list of target manufacturers based on the procurement requirements defined by Customer. We will support customer with collation, evaluation, and ranking of manufacturer responses and then work with Customer to assess and rank responses and/or short list the final candidates.
