Hong Kong
17 April 2026 - In March 2026, the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) of Hong Kong released updated versions of two Technical Specifications and subsequently published a new edition of Table of Frequency Allocation in April 2026.
Serbia
16 April 2026 - Kiwa Product Compliance would like to remind manufacturers that effective 1st January 2027, Serbia will align its regulatory framework for radio equipment with the EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED).
Algeria
16 April 2026 - Further to the Kiwa Product Compliance Regulatory Update of 4th March 2026 regarding Executive Decree No. 26-97, further information has been received from the Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Communications Électroniques (ARPCE).

Brazil
16 January 2026
On December 23rd 2025, the Brazilian RF Regulator - AGÊNCIA NACIONAL DE TELECOMUNICAÇÕES (ANATEL) - issued a public consultation applicable to data centers integrated into telecommunications networks.
Cape Verde
12 January 2026
On 19th December 2025, the Ministry of Communication and Digital (KOMDIGI) of Indonesia released a new Regulation, Ministerial Decree No. 569 of 2025, regarding the technical standards for mobile telecommunication equipment based on LTE and 5G NR technologies.
Colombia
02 February 2026
Further to Kiwa Product Compliance Regulatory Update of 11th June 2025 regarding the proposed regulatory amendment for opening up the 900 MHz frequency band; on 27th January 2026, the Ministerio de Technología de la información y las telecominicaciones (MinTIC) together with the Colombian regulatory authority, Agencia Nacional del Espectro (ANE), has published the drafts of the resolutions establishing conditions for assigning 900 MHz radio spectrum permits to expand Internet access in rural and remote areas.

The Dominican Republic Regulator – Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (INDOTEL) – has announced an extension of the public consultation period regarding the proposed reform of the General Telecommunications Law No. 153-98, which constitutes the main legal framework governing the telecommunications sector in the country.

On 27th January 2026, Nasry Asfura assumed the office of the President of Honduras. As a result of this announcement, restructuring is currently underway at Honduran RF Regulator - Comision Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL) – which is likely to cause delays to Type Approval processes.
Indonesia

Israel
06 January 2026
Following the Kiwa Product Compliance Regulatory Update dated 22nd July 2025 concerning the Shutdown of 2G and 3G Networks in Israel by January 2026, on 18th December 2025, the Israeli Regulatory Authority, the Ministry of Communications, published a new timeline for the shutdown of the legacy networks and the transition towards 5G.

Further to the Kiwa Product Compliance Regulatory Update of 9th January 2026 regarding a transfer of responsibility for all Type Approval related matters from the Ministry of Telecommunications (MoT) to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), KPC can confirm that Decision 3/2026 has now been released in the Official Gazette.

On 18th December 2025, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) released version 1.4 of the Regulatory Framework for Short Range Devices (SRD) and Terrestrial Internet of Things (IoT) Services.
Paraguay
09 January 2026
On the 17th December 2025, Paraguay’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL), issued Resolución de Directorio No. 3339/2025, whose main objective is to establish the use of the frequency band between 3,700 MHz and 3,800 MHz for IMT (International Mobile Telecommunications) systems. This decision incorporates this segment of the radiofrequency spectrum into advanced mobile telecommunications services, enabling its use for technologies such as 5G and future evolutions of high-capacity mobile networks.

The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) issued Notice No. 2025-9 adopting the new national Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) measurement standard KS C 3350 for radio equipment used in proximity to the human body.
UAE
20 January 2026
The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) of the United Arab Emirates has recently announced the commencement of the 6th Generation (6G) during the first meeting of the UAE 6G Committee.
Ukraine
10 April 2026
On 31st March 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine published a draft Government Resolution proposing amendments to the Technical Regulation on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS).
6 January 2026
National Commission for State Regulation of Electronic Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum and Postal Services of Ukraine (NCEC) has adopted Decree #475 introducing procedure, requiring manufacturers to inform users about the operating conditions of radio devices. The aim of regulation is to strengthen consumer awareness and ensure that products placed on the Ukrainian market comply with the requirements of EU Directive 2014/53/EU (RED) and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1354.
Vietnam

On 17th January 2026, the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) issued Circular 01/2026/TT-BCT, which was announced based on the Government’s Decree 26/2026/ND-CP detailing the management of hazardous chemicals in goods and services.

Further to the Kiwa Product Compliance Regulatory Update of 14th October 2025 regarding the Public Consultation on the Draft EMC Technical Regulation for Mobile Terminals, on 31st December 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) of Vietnam issued official Circular No. 52/2025/TT-BKHCN, introducing the new national Technical Standard.
India

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has published a notification to clarify that manufacturers are not permitted to make multiple applications under MTCTE for equipment with the same model number which already has a valid certificate of Conformity Assessment.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has officially published GSR 47(E) for the lower 6 GHz band (5925–6425 MHz). As per this notification, the 6GHz band has now been delicensed for low-power indoor wireless use.
Anguilla

The Anguilla Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has launched Public Notice 2026-1, initiating a public consultation on the allocation, allotment, and assignment of 5G New Radio spectrum for mobile and fixed wireless access (FWA) services.
Bolivia

On 28th January 2026, Autoridad de Regulación y Fiscalización de Telecomunicaciones y Transportes (ATT) in Bolivia has updated the list of telecommunications equipment subject to Type Approval, effective from its publication date. This update introduces significant changes to the country’s Type Approval framework.
According to the revised approved equipment list, several categories of radiofrequency (RF) and telecommunications equipment are no longer subject to mandatory Type Approval, provided that such equipment does not form part of the core telecommunications network.

On 2nd February 2026, the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore released the Draft Technical Specification for Cellular Mobile Terminals (IMDA TS CMT Issue 1 Rev 4) for public comments.
Saudi Arabia

The Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST) of Saudi Arabia has launched a public consultation for the National Frequency Plan (NFP). This major update to the NFP reflects the Kingdom’s efforts to modernize its spectrum management framework in line with international developments and emerging wireless technologies.
