RHI Heat Meters
Heat meters used to claim the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) must meet specific requirements for: positioning calibration and accuracy suitability (e.g. is the meter set up correctly for the liquid in the system) installation (meters must be installed in line with manufacturer's instructions and appropriate for the system they are monitoring, e.g. flow rates) Heat meters must be Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) compliant. For the Non-Domestic RHI must also comply with accuracy class 2 or better of the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID). If heat meters are required for the Domestic RHI this means accuracy class 3 or better. The following is a non-exhaustive list of heat meters that have been independently verified as MID-compliant.
