BRL-K746 has been updated
An updated version of BRL-K746 (Kiwa process certificate for the application of coating systems on metal surfaces of drinking water installation) is published (effective as per 21 March 2025). This version will replace the previous version dated 01 February 2012
In addition to general updates the BRL the following has been adjusted:
- The frequency of surveillance audits been reduced from 4 audits per year to 2 audits per year
- Non-conformity categories has been added to the assessment matrix
- The frequency of dry film thickness measurement has been adjusted to conform to ISO 2808 par. B.3.3

Evaluation guideline changes
An evaluation guideline or ‘Beoordelingsrichtlijn’ (BRL) is a package of requirements that a product or service can meet to demonstrate a certain guarantee of quality and legality. Kiwa offers BRLs in various subject areas. The requirements in a BRL are drawn up by an independent Board of Experts. A product or service is assessed by Kiwa on the basis of those requirements. When we introduce a new BRL or when a BRL changes, we will publish these BRL's.
