BRL 2022 version 2026 declared binding
A revised version of BRL 2022 for the Kiwa product certificate for " Mechanical saddles made of PVC U, PP and PE for non pressure underground drainage and sewerage systems – Specific requirements" has been declared binding as of 21 May 2026.
The following parts of the BRL have been changed:
- For the general requirements, reference is made to BRL 6300.
- Editorial updates have been implemented in line with the new KOMO BRL model.
- The BRL has been aligned with the latest updates of NEN‑EN 13598‑1 and CEN/TS 13598‑3.
The certificates issued on BRL 2022 version 2017 will lose their validity on 21-05-2026.
The certificate holders will be informed about this transition period.
Note: BRL 2022 is currently only available in Dutch.

Evaluation guideline changes
An evaluation guideline or ‘Beoordelingsrichtlijn’ (BRL) is a package of requirements that a product or service can meet to demonstrate a certain guarantee of quality and legality. Kiwa offers BRLs in various subject areas. The requirements in a BRL are drawn up by an independent Board of Experts. A product or service is assessed by Kiwa on the basis of those requirements. When we introduce a new BRL or when a BRL changes, we will publish these BRL's.
