We are seeking a Functional Consultant (Application Management) to join our team and ensure the optimal performance, stability, and reliability of our enterprise applications. In this role, you will serve as the key link between business users, technical teams, and system administrators — ensuring smooth operation, proactive support, and continuous improvement of our software solutions.
You will be responsible for managing application incidents, monitoring performance, implementing updates, and providing expert-level functional support. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with excellent communication and a service-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for application-related issues and service requests.
- Provide high-quality functional and technical support to end-users.
- Monitor application performance and ensure system availability and stability.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
- Document issues, resolutions, and create user-friendly technical guides and knowledge base articles.
- Analyze recurring incidents, identify root causes, and suggest process or system improvements.
- Coordinate and implement application updates, patches, and enhancements.
- Support system testing, change management, and release activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, data security, and IT governance standards.
Your location will be Solna, Stockholm.
Har du vad som krävs?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in application management, functional consulting, or application support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Technical and Functional Skills
- Solid understanding of database structures, data flows, and system integrations.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Experience with testing tools and issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
- Experience in Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
- Strong documentation skills for requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and process design.
- Skilled in conducting user workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder presentations.
- Analytical mindset with a disciplined, structured approach to problem-solving.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.
Proficiency in English required. Swedish is a strong advantage.
